M62 traffic latest: lorry ‘sheds load’ causing traffic woes on motorway heading to Leeds
A ‘shed load’ is causing traffic disruption on the M62 this morning.
Traffic England have reported that a lorry has spilled its load onto the motorway’s eastbound carriageway heading towards Leeds. One lane is currently shut and the trouble is expected to continue for hours.
AA Traffic’s online map is reporting “congestion” due to the incident. It was first reported earlier this morning (April 1).
The latest update reads: “Traffic congestion and one lane closed due to shed load on M62 Eastbound at J25 A644 Wakefield Road (Brighouse).”
Traffic England adds: “The event is expected to clear between 11:30 and 11:45 on 1 April 2026.” One out of the three lanes is currently shut.
