M62 traffic news: Leeds drivers face ‘severe delays’ on M62 in traffic update
Drivers are being warned of ‘severe delays’ on part of the M62 this morning.
Motorists who are commuting into work could face being stuck in heavy queues today (February 24). A series of road closures and bus diversions are in place this week as well.
The AA traffic map is showing slow traffic on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway currently. There are also some delays on the westbound side as well.
In an update, the AA explained: “Severe delays of 13 minutes and delays increasing on M62 Eastbound between J24 A629 (Ainley Top) and J27 M621 (Gildersome). Average speed 20 mph.”
For those who are heading westbound, the AA adds: “Delays on M62 Westbound between J28 A650 Bradford Road (Tingley) and J27 M621 (Gildersome). Average speed 25 mph.”
