Commuters have complained about a '˜rank' smell affecting Leeds Station.
Twitter user @Lammypammy contacted station managers Network Rail asking if a train had emptied its toilets on the tracks after smelling the sewage-like odour yesterday.
The smell was an issue for rail passengers throughout the day, but Network Rail’s Leeds team have now explained that the problem was caused by a fault in the plumbing at the station’s branch of Starbucks.
On Friday morning they confirmed the issue had been resolved.
