Like in any major city, driving around Leeds can be a source of frustration - from roadworks and traffic to one-way routes and other road users.
We asked Yorkshire Evening Post readers what annoys them most when getting behind the wheel in Leeds, and received hundreds of answers.
Here are 10 of the biggest gripes according to you.
1. Roadworks
Roadworks were one of the most common complaints, with readers frustrated by the amount of disruption on Leeds' roads. Elizabeth Bycroft said: "Sheer amount of roadworks going on, and amount of traffic." James Bovington added that his frustration was “constant roadworks”, while Paul Anthony had a gripe about “roadworks around every corner”. | Tony Johnson
2. Bus gates and bus lanes
Bus gates and bus lanes also featured heavily in the responses. Susan Nunns and David Speight both gave the same answer: "Bus gates." Andrew Morrison said: "Bus lanes and the fine a few days later." But there was a different view from bus driver Martin Crosswell, who said: "Not enough bus gates, the whole of leeds should be buses only.” | Gerard Binks
3. Traffic
For some readers, it is the amount of traffic on Leeds' roads that causes the biggest headache. Judith Sowden said she was frustrated by "long queues of traffic - bumper to bumper at the side of bike lanes". Meanwhile, John Smith said: "Roadworks, pedestrianisation, Deliveroo, just eat, the massive potholes. It's awful, but I catch the bus or Uber.” | Steve Riding
4. Cycle lanes
Cycle lanes proved to be another divisive subject among readers. Graham Daniel said “empty cycle lanes” were his biggest frustration. Michael Taylor said he was frustrated by roads becoming narrower because of cycle lanes, describing them as "totally inappropriate cycle lanes, ones that are never used." However, Lee Richards offered a different take, saying: "Use them and they wouldn't be empty and you wouldn't be sat in traffic next to an empty one would you?" | Simon Hulme

5. Other drivers
The most universal answer was other people behind the wheel. Geoffrey Curry and Maria Parkins said “other drivers” were their biggest bug bear, while Mark Johnson blamed “idiots on the road that don’t know what they’re doing”. | Adobe Stock

6. Potholes
The condition of the roads was another frustration for readers. Pippa Cottingham said: "Speed bumps and potholes." Jonjo Nelson said: "The state of the roads and the cost of car repairs! | LDRS
