As temperatures soar across Leeds, it’s not just humans looking for ways to keep cool.
The city is baking in the fifth heatwave of the year this week, with temperatures climbing above 30C.
But while many of us have been reaching for the paddling pool, ice creams and cold drinks, the pooches at Leeds Dogs Trust have had their own ways of keeping cool – including a paddling pool, plenty of shade and lots of attention and love from the charity’s dedicated staff and volunteers.
Dogs Trust Leeds cares for dogs in need of a new home, providing them with a safe place to stay while they wait to be matched with their forever families.
And with the scorching weather proving a challenge for four-legged friends, the team has been making sure its residents are comfortable, entertained and well cared for.
From splashing about to enjoying some much-needed fuss, these adorable pictures are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
