Citizen has added a smart virtual try-on system that lets buyers see how its watches look before heading to a shop
World-renowned watch maker Citizen has added a clever system to its website that lets you try on any of its timepieces without having to get up and head to a shop.
Using virtual reality, you head to the Citizen website, choose a watch you like the look of, scan a QR code, line up your wrist with an outline on your smartphone screen, and the image of you wearing a high-end watch flashes up on your computer screen.
We tested it with Citizen's new Red Arrows Promaster Air Navihawk, a £400 chronograph watch that adds another dimension to the brand's ongoing Red Arrows collection.

Styled with a 40mm stainless steel case, and with accents inspired by the RAF Red Arrows, this watch has tools every fighter pilot would need, and it's topped with a sapphire crystal.
Functions include a 1/5 second chronograph measuring up to 60 minutes, 12/24 hour time displays, 200 metre water resistance and a date indicator, and it's even fitted with Citizen's Eco-Drive technology which provides power from any light source, so it never needs a battery.
There are dozens of watches in the Citizen range, including some gorgeous limited edition pieces.

For those who prefer a more focused delivery, the Red Wine Subscription keeps to richer styles only. 🍇 A premium alternative is the Fine Wine Trios option, starting at £55, which delivers three higher-end bottles per shipment.
