From lightweight skin tints to fuller coverage, these e.l.f. bases offer something different
If there is one makeup brand that consistently makes me stop scrolling, it is e.l.f. Affordable products that seem to appear all over TikTok overnight, there is always something new to add to my beauty wish list.
But with so many complexion products to choose from, it can be difficult to work out which e.l.f. foundation is actually right for you. The finish, coverage and overall look can be quite different depending on which one you pick.
The Soft Glam Satin Foundation is the one currently catching my attention. Priced at just £9, the foundation has gone viral on TikTok and is designed to give skin a soft satin finish. I have spent years reaching for matte foundations, but these days I prefer something that looks a little fresher and less flat on the skin, which is why this one has made its way onto my shopping list.

For a more glow-focused finish, there is the Halo Glow Liquid Filter at £16. This is not quite the same proposition as a traditional full-coverage foundation. It is designed to add a luminous, filtered-looking effect and can be worn on its own or mixed with other complexion products. If you prefer your base to look radiant rather than completely perfected, this is one to consider.
The Halo Glow Skin Tint is another option at £14. As the name suggests, this is more about lightweight coverage and letting your natural skin show through. It could be a good choice for days when I want to even out my complexion without feeling like I am wearing a heavier base.
Then there is the Camo CC Cream at £16, which takes things in the opposite direction. It is designed as a colour-correcting complexion product with fuller coverage, making it the option I would look at when I want more coverage rather than a barely-there finish.
For me, the appeal of the e.l.f. complexion range is that there is not just one type of foundation to choose from. Whether you want the TikTok-famous £9 satin foundation, a glowy base, a lightweight skin tint or more coverage from the Camo CC Cream, there is an option depending on the finish you are after.
And with the Soft Glam Satin Foundation currently grabbing so much attention on TikTok, that is the one I am most tempted to try first.
