Seventeen superhero snaps from Leeds Comic-Con

A galaxy of attractions – including stars of some of the planet’s biggest ever movies – were on show, while visitors got into the spirit by dressing up as their favourite characters.

Held at New Dock Hall, it was transformed into a pop-culture paradise for the 2026 Leeds Comic Con.

The event originally found its feet in the city centre, often hosted in hotel function rooms such as the Marriott on Boar Lane, and back then, it was a smaller, more intimate gathering of sci-fi collectors and comic book fans.

However, as the ‘cosplay’ phenomenon exploded in the mid-2010s, the event began to attract thousands rather than hundreds.
