Haier’s lavish Couture Care 11 combines colossal capacity, artificial intelligence and premium fabric care in a machine costing more than some used cars
This is the new Haier Couture Care 11 Smart Washer Dryer - and it might just be one of the ultimate home appliances.
It's also probably one of the most expensive, at a launch price of £3,499.99 - but there are plenty more impressive numbers involved.
The new smart washer dryer is the flagship model in the plush Couture Care Collection, and it offers a remarkable 18kg washing capacity - almost as big as the huge industrial roadside machines dotted around the country.
There's also an 11kg drying capacity, which makes it ideal for bedding and bulky items, and it has a 40% energy efficiency rating, putting in the A threshold.
Although the machine has a colour touch-screen display to make its modes easy to navigate, there's also an AI system installed, which detects the type of fabrics in the drum, and selects the most suitable setting to care for each load.
And there's also a steam setting called I-Refresh Pro, which refreshes delicate garments, which Haier says can reduce unnecessary washing.
Another helping hand the Couture Care 11 Smart Washer Dryer can serve up is with an auto dose function, which dispenses the correct amount of detergent for every wash, preventing wastage.
A spokesman for Haier said: "The launch marks the latest evolution of the modern utility room, where capacity, connectivity and design now carry just as much importance as cleaning performance.
"As households continue to invest in appliances that work harder while caring better for clothes, Haier's expanded Couture Care Collection demonstrates how the humble washer dryer is becoming one of the smartest - and most stylish - appliances in the home."
The £3,499 Haier Couture Care 11 Smart Washer Dryer is available now, on the Haier website, and there's a £525 saving on offer for key workers, seniors, and students.
