A convenience-first styling brush is delivering faster drying, reduced frizz and fuller-looking hair with minimal effort
If you’re not adept at blow-drying with one hand and using a styling brush with the other, Clara’s new Air-Glow Styling Brush could be your saviour.
Fans of the brand are getting excited about this super-quiet, super-fast wet-to-dry £179 styler which works best on hair that’s 80% dry.
It dries your hair quickly, delivering impressive volume thanks to the distribution of hot air through the chunky brush. Because the airflow is channelled through the barrel rather than blasted onto hair, the result is a gentler drying process and a smoother overall finish.
Short to medium-length hair is its target audience and from the very first use, it delivered a lovely bounce to my shoulder-length locks.

It’s particularly good for taming frizz and flyaway hair thanks to its controlled airflow technology.
This isn’t a precision styler and don’t expect tight curls or defined shapes. But you can achieve fuller looking hair than a straightforward blow-dry would produce.
There’s essentially one heat setting (an energy-saving 560w performance), which removes guesswork and keeps things simple.

The swivel cord and grip are practical touches, and the automatic shut-off adds a bit of reassurance if you’re prone to rushing out the door and leaving gadgets on. As with other Clara gadgets, it comes with a smart heat-proof storage pouch.
If you’re looking for a convenience-first tool, the Clara Air-Glow will make everyday hair look more put-together with minimal effort. If your priority is speed, ease, and a softer finish (rather than solid styling), it’s a great, fuss-free option.
An online shopper who has been using the new Air-Glow styler said: “I use it to create soft waves by winding my hair around the brush from near the roots to the ends. My hair looks so shiny and healthy; this hair brush will be my go-to from now on. It comes supplied with a pouch with insulation lining inside. It is a good size and easy to hold with a good grip and swivel cord. It has a very premium feel to it and feels sturdy and high quality. Highly recommend!”

I tried the brand’s Volumizing Mousse, £10, 150ml; Divine Shine Serum; £16, 50ml; Gloss Spray £10, 150ml; Dry Shampoo, £10, 150ml and Leave-in & Protection Spray, £20, 100ml, with UVA and UVB protection.
The standouts for my fine hair are the dry shampoo which extends the window between washes and the fabulous Volumising Mousse which gives lift without a hint of heaviness. Use the Air-Glow Styling Brush after applying the mousse and be prepared to be wowed!
