The compact 256Wh Jackery package includes a 100W solar panel, fast USB-C charging and a long-life LiFePO4 battery

Campers planning a late-summer escape can currently pick up a complete Jackery solar power station bundle for £304, down from its £579 RRP in a limited-time Amazon deal.

The Jackery Solar Generator 240 V2 bundle includes the portable power station, a 100W solar panel and a DC-to-USB-C converter. With £275 knocked off the usual bundle price, the package is now 47% cheaper and provides a ready-made setup for camping, fishing, motorhome trips or emergency power at home.

At the centre of the discounted Jackery solar generator is the Explorer 240 V2, a compact 256Wh power station weighing 3.5kg. It offers a 300W AC output, making it better suited to phones, tablets, cameras, lights, laptops and smaller appliances than power-hungry equipment such as kettles or heaters.

It can power or charge five devices simultaneously, with the available connections including 100W USB-C Power Delivery. That means compatible laptops and other USB-C devices can be plugged in directly without carrying an additional power brick.

Jackery says the Explorer 240 V2 power station can be fully charged from the mains in one hour when its fast-charging mode is enabled through the app. A slower two-hour setting is also available and is designed to help protect the battery over repeated charging cycles.

Away from a plug socket, the included 100W panel gives buyers another way to replenish the battery. Jackery claims a full solar charge can take around three hours under suitable conditions, although real-world charging times will naturally depend on the strength of the sunlight, the panel’s position and the weather.

The power station uses a LiFePO4 battery, a type valued for its durability and long cycle life. According to Jackery, it can withstand up to 3,000 charging cycles and has an expected lifespan of up to 10 years. The product is also covered by five years of customer support.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allow the Jackery Explorer 240 V2 to be monitored through its accompanying app. Users can check the remaining battery level and charging status, activate battery-saving features or arrange for the unit to turn itself off automatically.

Other practical touches include an integrated camping light and a 20ms uninterruptible power supply function. The latter can restore power to connected equipment rapidly during an outage, potentially reducing interruptions to desktop computers and other suitable devices. Jackery also lists IEC 62368 and UL94V-0 safety certifications for the unit.

Amazon gives shoppers a few configurations to choose from. The complete solar bundle costs £304, while the Explorer 240 V2 power station on its own is listed at £169. That means the solar panel and converter add £135 at the current prices, something worth considering for buyers who already own a compatible panel.

The limited-time label means Amazon has not guaranteed how long the £304 price will remain available. Stock, pricing and delivery options can also change, so buyers should check the full package contents and suitability for their intended equipment before ordering.
