More than 1,000 bottles of the dermatologically approved Nivea Q10 formula were bought through Amazon during the past month
A Nivea facial serum formulated specifically for mature skin has fallen to £8.40 at Amazon, cutting 58% off its £19.99 recommended retail price for a limited time.
The Nivea Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Collagen Expert 3-in-1 Repairing Serum is designed for women aged 60 and over, with the formula targeting wrinkles, declining skin elasticity and sagging facial contours.
Its £11.59 saving makes the 30ml bottle cheaper than many everyday moisturisers, while Amazon has also marked it as an Amazon’s Choice product. More than 1,000 bottles were bought through the retailer in the past month, suggesting the offer is already attracting plenty of interest.
The Nivea Q10 serum is currently £8.40, compared with an RRP of £19.99. Amazon describes the reduction as a limited-time deal, so there is no stated guarantee that the price will remain available.
Nivea says the serum uses collagen-boosting ingredients to help counteract the decline in collagen production associated with ageing. Collagen helps provide skin with structure and firmness, but its natural production reduces as people get older.
Rather than presenting this as a one-size-fits-all beauty product, Nivea has developed the Collagen Expert serum for the particular requirements of skin aged 60 and above. It is intended to improve the appearance of skin density, firm facial contours and reduce the visibility of deeper wrinkles and expression lines.
According to the brand, the formula provides deep moisture and can improve skin elasticity within 24 hours. Nivea also claims deep wrinkles and expression lines can appear visibly reduced within one week, although results from skincare products can vary between individuals.
The anti-wrinkle repairing serum is applied twice a day. Nivea recommends smoothing it onto a cleansed face, neck and décolleté in the morning and evening, before continuing with the rest of a regular skincare routine.
As it is a serum rather than a moisturiser, users may still want to follow it with a suitable face cream. Nivea specifically recommends pairing the product with its Q10 Day and Night Facial Butter, but that additional product is not included in this offer.
The formula has been dermatologically approved for mature skin and is suitable for daily use. Its compact 30ml bottle may also appeal to anyone who prefers skincare that takes up relatively little room in a wash bag or bathroom cabinet.
Customer feedback is positive so far. The Nivea Q10 Collagen Expert serum has an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars from 113 reviews on Amazon. That is a smaller review pool than some longer-established Nivea products, but the recent sales figure indicates its popularity is growing.
There is another possible saving for households buying several eligible toiletries. Amazon is advertising 5% off any four qualifying products, although shoppers should check which items count and whether the promotion can be combined with the existing reduction before placing an order.
At £8.40, the discounted Nivea face serum offers a relatively affordable way to try a product developed for the needs of mature skin, without paying its usual near-£20 price.
As with any new skincare product, it is sensible to check the ingredients and stop using it if irritation occurs. Amazon prices and availability can change at short notice, while skincare results will differ from person to person.
