If holiday parks make you think of kids’ clubs, Parkdean’s new autumn breaks may surprise you. Selected stays start at £99, with an optional dining upgrade
A holiday park break might bring to mind kids’ clubs and a packed entertainment schedule. But a holiday park company has offered a different type of getaway for autumn: pottery, yoga, coastal walks, and evenings that can end with a murder mystery rather than an early bedtime.
Parkdean Resorts’ new “Grown-Up Getaways” are designed around activities adults might actually choose for themselves. They’re available at more than 40 UK locations outside the school holidays, and autumn breaks are priced from £99 on selected dates. The cost depends on where and when you stay, but a hundred-quid holiday is possible.
During your stay at one of the holiday parks, you could spend the morning walking by the sea, try a jewellery-making or pottery workshop in the afternoon, then join a quiz or karaoke night. Sip-and-paint sessions, line dancing and adult swimming are among the other activities listed, although the programme varies by park.

There are 65 Parkdean locations overall, stretching from Cornwall and Devon to Wales, Yorkshire, the Lake District and Scotland. Accommodation ranges from caravans to lodges, with hot tubs available at selected parks.
On selected breaks, guests can add an all-inclusive dining package with breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus included soft drinks and Costa Coffee. Four-night Monday arrivals are offered at 45 parks, and 14 parks also offer the add-on for selected three-night weekends.

The dining package costs extra on top of accommodation. It applies at participating restaurants, and it does not cover alcohol, starters, desserts or every drink on the menu. Check the price and what’s included for your chosen park before treating it as a way to save money.
