More than 500 premium food and drink lines have dropped in price, but shoppers will need one thing before they can claim the savings.

Supermarket giant Sainsbury's has just dropped its prices on more than 500 lines in its "Taste the Difference" range.

Shoppers can make huge savings filling their trolley with the premium produce between now and October 6 - whether you buy online or in store.

There's only one catch, and that is the offer will only work for shoppers with a Nectar card. To find out how to sign up for one for free, click here.

Running alongside the promotion is a deal on wines, giving shoppers the chance to save 25% if they buy three bottles from the Taste the Difference range. Again, as long as you have a Nectar card.

The Taste the Difference collection covers fresh food, bakery treats, drinks, and other items designed to make an ordinary breakfast, lunch or dinner feel considerably more indulgent.

Among the range are sourdough loaves, crumpets, ciabatta, baguettes, and bread rolls, and sweeter options include cakes, cookies, and croissants.

Taste the Difference drinks are also included in the wider range, stretching from premium fruit juices to coffee beans and teas.

Options include familiar Earl Grey, Darjeeling and Ceylon teas, alongside fruit and herbal infusions.

Then there’s the wine aisle, which includes red, white, rosé and sparkling bottles from the supermarket’s premium label.

Some wines also carry separate Nectar prices, so shoppers should check whether the promotional price or loyalty offer provides the better saving before adding a bottle to their basket.
