The compact Anker speaker has a 4.7-star score from more than 144,000 ratings, while over 5,000 have reportedly been bought in the past month
A portable speaker with enough claimed battery life to cover an entire day has fallen below £25 in an Amazon deal.
The black soundcore 2 Bluetooth speaker is currently £24.98, down from its £39.99 RRP. That knocks £15.01 off the usual price and gives buyers a stated saving of 38%.
Amazon has marked the offer as selling fast, although no closing time is displayed. The £24.98 soundcore deal is currently available on the black version, which is also the cheapest colour listed on the product page.
Baby Blue, Navy Blue, Pink and Pink and Brown versions are £27.99, while the white speaker costs £26.64. That makes black the obvious choice for anyone more interested in saving money than matching their speaker to the picnic blanket.
The soundcore Anker 2 has amassed an unusually large number of customer ratings. Its average score stands at 4.7 out of five from more than 144,000 ratings, while Amazon says more than 5,000 have been bought during the past month.
It is also labelled Amazon’s Choice, adding another useful credibility marker for buyers faced with hundreds of inexpensive Bluetooth speakers from less familiar brands.
Despite its relatively compact design, the portable Bluetooth speaker produces a combined 12W of stereo audio through two neodymium drivers. Soundcore’s BassUp system and spiral bass port are intended to strengthen lower frequencies, while digital signal processing manages the output.

A 12W speaker is not intended to replace a large mains-powered party system, but it should be a practical size for listening in the kitchen, taking into the garden or packing for a weekend away.
The soundcore 2 speaker carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating. That provides more reassurance around rain, splashes and accidental exposure to water than an ordinary indoor speaker, making it particularly useful for camping, garden gatherings and poolside holidays.
IPX7 is specifically a water-resistance classification, however, and does not provide a certified dust-protection rating. Buyers should also follow the manufacturer’s guidance before deliberately exposing any electronic device to water.
Battery life is claimed at up to 24 hours from the built-in 5,200mAh battery. Real-world playback time will vary according to volume, connection conditions and how the wireless soundcore speaker is used, but the headline figure is considerably longer than many people will need for a day outside.
Simple controls are positioned along the top, while its rectangular shape makes it easy to place on a table, shelf or other flat surface. Two compatible speakers can also be paired wirelessly to create a wider stereo arrangement.
At £24.98, the Anker soundcore 2 deal costs less than some much smaller portable speakers, yet combines stereo sound, enhanced bass, water resistance and lengthy claimed playback time. Its huge body of customer feedback also gives prospective buyers far more information to examine than they would get with a newly launched alternative.
Amazon prices can change without warning, particularly when an offer is marked as selling fast. Anyone interested should ensure the black version is selected and the £24.98 price appears before ordering.
