Dry skin, rough heels and tired feet are common complaints for active people. Tal's new fragrance-free footcare collection aims to tackle them with a simple, targeted routine

My feet are constantly taking a pounding. Twice daily dog walks, gardening, golf and, more recently, running means I average around 16,000 steps a day.

And while I'm (largely!) diligent about looking after my face and body, foot care is one of those things that's easy to overlook until dry skin or rough heels start demanding attention.

That's why I'm keen to shine a light on Tal's new footcare range at Boots.

This affordable Swiss brand may be new to many UK shoppers. The formulas are fragrance-free, making them a good option for anyone with sensitive skin, and each product has a clear purpose within the range.

My favourite is the Repair Foot Balm Rescue for Cracked Heels, £13.99. Anyone who's suffered from cracked skin on their heels knows how painful it can become.

With 9% urea and natural AHA fruit acids, the balm works to gently soften thickened skin and support renewal. Arnica and calendula extracts help calm the skin, while pine needle oil and vitamin E provide nourishment and protection.

The Repair Foot Moisturising Mask, £4.99, feels more like a treat. The sock-style format is easy to use and delivers a noticeable boost of hydration, making it ideal before a holiday or special occasion when you want your feet looking their best. The recommended application time is 20 minutes - a perfect excuse to put your feet up!

Give tired feet a little TLC with Tal's moisturising foot mask – a simple 20-minute treatment that leaves dry skin feeling softer and smoother.placeholder image

Tal's Repair Nourishing Foot Cream, £11.99, is rich enough to tackle dry skin but not so heavy that you're sliding around the bathroom afterwards. It absorbs well and leaves feet feeling silky soft.

Completing the collection - the new Foot Bath Salts (available soon at Boots) promise to transform a simple foot soak into something far more relaxing.

For anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet, it's a range that's well worth exploring.

Spa Ceylon is another brand worth looking at for great footcare. The Ayurveda Foot Relief Balm, £13 for 25g, is a little green pot of foot heaven. It has an invigorating peppermint and eucalyptus fragrance which I love and made an instant difference to the dry skin on my feet.
