Beauty insiders on TikTok can’t stop talking about this £9 e.l.f. foundation and I can’t wait to try it

e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Foundation is the affordable beauty buy taking over TikTok, and I want to see if it lives up to the hype.
There is always one beauty product that suddenly seems to be everywhere on TikTok, and lately I keep seeing e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Foundation popping up on my feed.
I haven’t tried it yet, but the viral attention has definitely made me curious. At £9, it is also the kind of foundation that feels tempting to try without having to spend a fortune, particularly when so many beauty shoppers are talking about it.
Soft Glam Satin Foundation promises medium, buildable coverage with a satin finish, putting it somewhere between a flat matte base and a super-dewy foundation. It comes in 36 shades across cool, neutral and warm undertones, with e.l.f. describing it as suitable for dry, oily and combination skin.
For me, the finish is probably the biggest reason I want to try it. I have worn matte foundation for years, but these days I much prefer a softer-looking base that still gives enough coverage without making my skin look overly made up.
The formula also contains 1% Hydrating Hibiscus Complex, alongside pomegranate, blueberry and goji berry extracts. It is designed to be buildable, so you can add more coverage where you need it rather than applying a heavy layer all over your face.
But while TikTok can turn a beauty product into an overnight sensation, viral doesn't automatically mean it will work for everyone. Skin type, shade and how you apply foundation can all make a difference.
That said, the combination of an affordable price tag, satin finish and buildable coverage has definitely put this one on my beauty wishlist. I can’t wait to try e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Foundation for myself.
