It captures on camera friendship and conversation - a snapshot of life in Leeds during the late 1990s. The photo shows homeless people having a coffee and a chat together at St George’s Crypt. It was taken in early 1997 and is one of 16 photos which make up a gallery showcasing the year in the life of Leeds and its residents. It was a 12 months which featured a historic city centre pub reopening after a refurbishment and a parade to celebrate the third anniversary of the opening of Tetley's Brewery Wharf. The collection of images have been plucked from the YEP archive and are sure to evoke memories for a generation of people who called Leeds home back in the day.
