One dramatic picture captures the end of an era as the old Telecom House building is brought crashing down by a controlled explosion.
Elsewhere, a huge crowd turns out to celebrate Leeds United’s return to the top flight after winning the old Second Division.
In a sign of how much technology has advanced over the past 30-odd years, pupils at one Leeds school are seen crowding around a single PC for an IT lesson.
But perhaps the biggest change since the early 90s has been to Leeds’ drinking scene.
While some of the pubs featured in this trip down memory lane have weathered the storms buffeting the night-time economy, others have sadly called last orders for good.
The much-missed pubs pictured include Colonel Mustard’s, also known as Queens; the Sandford Arms; Stumps; and the Chained Bull, in Moortown, which was knocked down in 2008 to make way for the expansion of a neighbouring M&S store.
What are your fondest memories of the 90s, and which pubs or other venues from that era do you miss most?
