We’re winding back the clock nearly 40 years to show how life in Leeds looked during 1987.
These photos capture sights around the city towards the end of the 80s, including some of the era’s most popular pubs and restaurants.
A famous lost department store, a notorious junction and a new team of street sweepers brought in to smarten up the city all feature in this retro picture gallery.
The nostalgic black-and-white images also show firefighters battling a blaze at Leeds University, aviation history being made at Leeds Bradford Airport, and Genesis thrilling fans at Roundhay Park.
There are even appearances by Princess Diana and a young Angela Griffin, who would go on to star in Coronation Street.
Do these photos bring back any happy memories for you of life in Leeds during the late 80s?
