It’s the annual event which asked runners to put their best foot forward with a message of hope and love in remembrance of a loved one who has lost a fight with cancer. Thousands of participants have taken part over the years raising much needed funds for Cancer Research UK. These photos plucked from the Yorkshire Evening Post archive, turn back the clock to showcase the sweat and tears of the early events and highlight the determination and passion of those taking part.
