These wonderful photos from around Leeds straddle two decades of memories. They were taken between 1969 and 1977 although the exact date of each image is unknown. They bring into focus city centre landmarks as well as rarely-seen photos from around the suburbs with Cross Green, Harehills, Woodhouse, Burmantofts, Chapeltown, Richmond Hill, Little London and Roundhay Park all in focus. The photos are published courtesy of photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service. They also run heritage blog The Secret Library Leeds, which provides a behind the scenes look at the Central Library and highlights from its special collections, including rare books hidden away in the stacks.
