South Leeds: Thoughtful photos take you back to Tingley in the 1980s

This mini-gallery of memories provide a fascinating tour of Tingley in the 1980s.

The decade of memories starts with a much loved landmark - The White Bear, a pub which has provided a focal point for the community for generations. Other landmarks in focus include Tingley >>> as well as familiair streets such as Bradford Road. The images are a mix from the David Atkinson Archive and others published courtesy of photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service. They also run heritage blog The Secret Library Leeds, which provides a behind the scenes look at the Central Library and highlights from its special collections, including rare books hidden away in the stacks.
