Five-star reviews: What customers say
“Absolutely fantastic: Last-minute decision to pop out for something to eat, we’ve been meaning to come here for a while and never made it. So pleased we did because it was the best curry we’ve had in a very long time. The atmosphere is lovely, it’s a small place with maybe six to eight tables, the staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was exquisite, cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Good value for money as well. Will definitely come here again.”
Hidden gem: I love this place. Been here a few times both with friends and colleagues. Wonderful food. Staff are always friendly and helpful and also wonderfully located just near the station.
“We ordered this month’s company lunch from Dehli Wala and it was an absolute hit! The food was fresh, flavour-packed and offered something also was great for our vegan employees too. They were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout, and made the whole experience seamless from start to finish (as it was a big takeaway order – they were on time and even helped us put it all in the car). We’ll definitely be back for another company lunch – thank you Dehliwala – highly recommended!”
“By far the best Indian food in Leeds.”
“Lovely little restaurant, the food was so nice, staff were very friendly. Good location too. And reasonable prices.”
What to choose from the menu

Shyam Sarera, in the vegetarian section are spinach and paneer koftas seved in a luscious creamy tomato gravy, with a hint of honey and saffron, offering a unique blend of flavours and textures.
But sometimes, simple is best. One of the most popular dishes is from the street food section – Hara Bahra Kebab, which is a simple pattie containing cashew nuts, spinach and potato and fried. Nitin says: “Every single person who has tried it loves them.”
There are lots of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including fish and meat choices. The vegan choices are more than just options but are a whole menu by themselves.
Authenticity is key and Nitin has sourced supplies of spices direct from India to give him genuine flavours – and a fresh consignment is sent every three months.
