After three seasons back in the Premier League, United’s fans had to become re-accustomed to second tier football for the 2023-24 campaign following relegation. That, though, did not prevent continued bumper Elland Road attendances and packed away ends whenever Daniel Farke’s Whites were on their travels.
United’s supporters then had three more games to take in as a third-placed finish meant the play-offs, a two legged semi-final against Norwich City and ultimately a Wembley final against Southampton. In true Leeds fashion, the play-offs ended in tears, despite incredible backing from a white wall inside Wembley for the final chapter of the season’s incredible support.
