The reasons the Whites would love to keep White, after a title-winning loan spell, are almost too numerous to mention but whether they can pull off a miracle or not, White belongs in the Premier League and will play his football there next season. Here are some of the truly impressive numbers that White racked up in his first ever Championship season. They go a long way to explaining why he was this season's YEP Player of the Year.
13. Take ons - 29
White completed the most take-ons (29) by any Championship centre-back this season. His ability to dribble out of defence helped Leeds beat teams' pressing.
14. Clean sheets - 22
White was part of a defensive unit that kept an incredible 22 league clean sheets this season, a major part of their title-winning success.
