Birmingham vs Leeds United: Date, kick-off time and broadcast details revealed for FA Cup clash

The broadcast details and kick-off time for Leeds United's FA Cup clash vs Birmingham City have been confirmed.

The broadcast details for Leeds United’s FA Cup clash against Birmingham City have been confirmed.

United booked their spot in the fourth round for the fourth year running after seeing off Championship side Derby County 3-1 at Pride Park last week, with second-half goals from Wilfried Gnonto, Ao Tanaka and James Justin overturning Ben Brereton Diaz’s 35th-minute opener.

Daniel Farke’s men have now been drawn away at a Birmingham side sitting 14th in the Championship, while they’re also in the FA Cup fourth round for the fourth year in a row after beating Cambridge United 3-2 away from home - taking a 3-0 lead before having to navigate a late rally from the League Two outfit.

When will Leeds United play Birmingham City in the FA Cup?

The FA have confirmed that Leeds’ trip to St. Andrew’s has now been scheduled for Sunday 15th February, with the match kicking off at 12pm, having originally been slated for a 2pm kick-off the day before.

The clash will be broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports 3 and the Discovery+ app, with this Leeds’ second 12pm kick-off and live broadcast of this season’s FA Cup.

"I don't want to come across that it is over-ambition off the back of defeat that I want to win a major competition. We know it is not realistic as promoted side, but we have shown, whether it be a quarter-final, semi-final, final, against top sides we are capable to win this,” an ambitious Daniel Farke stated ahead of Leeds’ win over Derby in Round Three, clearly setting his sights on a deep run in this famous old competition.

Leeds United’s head-to-head record vs Birmingham City

This will be the first meeting between Birmingham and Leeds since January 2024, when the Whites beat the Midlanders 3-0 at Elland Road in the Championship, thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford, Daniel James and Crysencio Summerville.

That’s one of three wins for Leeds in their last four clashes against Birmingham, though they did taste defeat at St. Andrew’s in August 2023 when Lukas Jutkiewicz scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.

The last FA Cup tie between these sides came back in January 2013. The first match ended in a 1-1 draw at Elland Road, before goals from Ross McCormack and El Hadji Diouf secured a 2-1 comeback win in the reply at St. Andrew’s.
