Strong Leeds United call as bookies have their say on FA Cup semi-final vs Chelsea with Whites man backing

How the bookies see the second FA Cup semi-final between Leeds United and Chelsea.

A strong Leeds United call has been made by the bookies on today’s FA Cup semi-final - but with Chelsea still edging favouritism.

Leeds face historic bitter rivals Chelsea in the club’s first FA Cup semi-final for 39 years today in a 3pm kick-off at Wembley, ahead of which Daniel Farke’s Whites are on a seven-game unbeaten run.

Its’ a rather different story for the Blues who have lost their last five Premier League games without scoring a single goal, boss Liam Rosenior sacked on the back of Tuesday night’s 3-0 loss at Brighton.

Its’ all led to the bookies giving Leeds a strong chance of going through to the final yet a Chelsea side who sit eighth in the table are still favourites to go through and indeed odds on with some firms to do inside 90 minutes.

In the outright match market, the Blues are no bigger than 21-10 but as short as 19-20 with some firms.

Leeds, though, themselves are only 12-5 with some firms and no bigger than 14-5.

1-1 draw clear favourite

The draw is seen as a real possibility at a best-priced 27-10 and therein the Whites are a relatively short price to go through.

In the market just to qualify for the final, Chelsea are naturally odds on given they are favourites at 11-20 but Leeds are only 13-8 themselves.

In a pretty close market, a 1-1 draw is also favourite in the correct score market at 13-2, followed by a 1-0 win for Chelsea at 15-2 and then 2-1 win for the Blues at 8s.

Leeds are 10s to win 1-0 or 11-1 to triumph 2-1 - the same price as a goalless draw and also a 2-0 win for the Blues.

Chelsea have the first three players in the anytime goalscorer market which is headed by injury doubt Joao Pedro at 7-4, just ahead of teammate and fellow injury doubt Cole Palmer at 2s.

Marc Guiu is then 21-20. Leeds pair Dominic Cavlvert-Lewin (23-10) and Lukas Nmecha (5-2) though are not far behind, Nmecha are noticeably short price amid a strong possibility that he could start.
