Leeds United loanee Eddie Nketiah returns to training.

Nketiah has been missing since mid-October with a lower abdomen injury picked up on the eve of United's fixture against Queens Park Rangers but returned to senior training on Thursday at Thorp Arch.

The Arsenal man is expected to feature for the Under-23s side on Friday afternoon against Sheffield United at the club's training ground as he steps up his recovery ahead of the busy festive period.

Bielsa, though, has been dealt another injury issue in his squad with Roberts set to miss Saturday's game against Jonathan Woodgate's outfit at Elland Road.

Roberts picked up a slight hamstring tear in the first half of the midweek victory over Reading at the Madejski stadium and will be sidelined in the coming days.

"He's making progress but he cannot play this weekend," Bielsa revealed.

Asked about Nketiah's return, he added: "He has trained well.

"Probably tomorrow he will play with the Under-23s. Maybe he will need a while but we're not sure. It would be normal for this."

Adam Forshaw remains sidelined with a hip injury, with Bielsa refusing to put any date on a possible return for the midfielder.
