For a bit of fun, we've used the latest edition of Football Manager to travel five years into the future, and taken a look at how Leeds United' s side shapes up. This is how the management simulator predicts the Whites will be lining up in January 2026.

13. Sub 2: Jesse Lingard
He's just joined Leeds on a free transfer, following a disastrous spell with Lazio and a career resurgence at Bournemouth. At 33, he's got plenty of experience in the locker. Photo: MARTIN MEISSNER

14. Joao Pedro
In real life, he's currently tearing it up in the Championship with Watford. On FM, he's Leeds' long-term successor to Martinez, and is worth a hefty £38m. However, he did cost £43.5m! Photo: Ross Kinnaird

15. Stuart Dallas
Five years down the line, the 34-year-old Dallas is still at the club. However, he's now transfer listed, and looks likely to leave in the 2026 January transfer window. Photo: NICK POTTS

16. Sub 5: Denis Vavro
Snapped up from Espanyol for just £4.2m the previous summer, the Slovakian defender is an excellent rotation option in defence. His ratings for 'heading', 'bravery' and 'jumping reach' are particularly impressive. Photo: Paolo Bruno

17. Sub 6: Hamza Choudhury
His Leicester City career fizzled out, but he's now making a real go at it with Leeds, after joining for £5.5m in 2022. No worth five times that figure, he's been an integral component of the Whites' squad. Photo: Michael Regan

18. Sub 7: Ben Knight
Eventually let go by Man City after being overshadowed by Phil Foden, Leeds snapped up the midfielder for a bargain fee. His stunning stats for dribbling, technique and vision make him an ideal successor to Perez. Photo: Charlotte Tattersall
