Marcelo Bielsa stated at the beginning of the month that he was happy with his squad and wasn’t actively looking to bring anyone in.
Now we’ve entered the final six days, has the Argentine’s stance changed?
"It's not contemplated that we are going to bring anyone in and what you have just mentioned (Orta proposing players) hasn't happened yet," he said on Monday.
"And I am happy with the squad that we have, I am comfortable with it and I feel we can finish this season with these players."
That’ll be no then… but transfer speculation never goes away in the world of Leeds United.
And the latest name to be touted with a switch to Elland Road is young Nottingham Forest midfielder Brennan Johnson.
According to The Athletic, Leeds have watched the 19-year-old during his impressive loan spell at League One outfit Lincoln City.
Since going out on loan, Johnson has scored five goals and provided six assists from midfield, even making his senior international debut for Wales in November.
Forest are aware of the mounting interest with Burnley and Brentford also keen, however it will take a big offer to tempt the Championship club into selling.
Indeed, Johnson isn’t the only young prospect to be linked with a move to West Yorkshire recently, with Wigan Athletic’s Sean McGurk firmly on the radar.
Meanwhile, Rafa Mujica is continuing to train with loan club Real Ovideo as normal as he awaits developments on his future, as per La Voz de Asturias via Sport Witness.
The former Barcelona forward has played just 50 minutes for the La Liga 2 club since his season-long loan move last summer.
The 22-year-old hopes to move elsewhere this window and has been linked with a return to Las Palmas.
Here’s a round-up of some of the other transfer rumours involving Leeds and their Premier League rivals this morning:
