Alan Smith predicts which three Premier League teams will go down and Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United score
Ex-Arsenal star Alan Smith has predicted which three teams will be relegated and a score for Leeds United’s huge clash at Nottingham Forest.
Former Arsenal star Alan Smith has made two Leeds United predictions - and neither of them are great for Daniel Farke’s Whites.
Newly-promoted Leeds still have their necks above water at a time when the last six teams to have gone up to the Premier League have all come straight back down.
Despite having lost three of their last four games, Leeds sit four points clear of the dropzone and five points ahead of second-bottom Nottingham Forest who the Whites visit in a massive clash on Sunday afternoon.
Smith, though, despite recent praise for Farke’s men, is predicting a 3-0 win for Sean Dyche’s Reds on Sunday who he ultimately thinks will stay up with Wolves, Burnley and Leeds going down.
“A really good chance”
Smith said: “I think Wolves will go. They’re eight points adrift, haven’t got a manager. I don’t think that squad is good enough to win the points that they need now. And I think Leeds and Burnley will join them.
“Away from home, they’ve really struggled to score. Four goalless matches, four blanks. They’ve got to find a way of being more potent going forward. I don’t think defensively that they are good enough to sit there and keep Forest out.
“So they’ve got to try and find a goal or two from somewhere. It’s a good chance for Dyche, isn’t it, against Leeds in the early stages of his managerial career at Forest. A really good chance for three points. Nottingham Forest 3 Leeds 0.”
