"You just see them" - Alan Smith's Leeds United pair call with Whites candidates problem and rivals prediction
Alan Smith has called for more from a Leeds United pair in the club’s battle to avoid the Premier League drop.
Former Arsenal star Alan Smith has made a call over a Leeds United attacking pair with a rivals prediction and Whites must.
Leeds have fallen into the Premier League’s relegation zone for the first time this season and now face three of the division’s giants with successive games against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Speaking in his weekly column for Best Betting Sites, Smith admitted Leeds were now facing a very difficult task to stay up as he predicted key rivals West Ham and Nottingham Forest to pull further away from the dropzone under new managers Nuno Espirito Santos and Sean Dyche respectively.
Smith declared a particular worry over who would score United’s goals but highlighted the returns of Willy Gnonto and Dan James in the need for the pair to now cause problems in the club’s survival bid.
“They haven’t got too many candidates”
“Tough games, really tough for Leeds,” said Smith.
“And also, when you think of West Ham and Nottingham Forest, they’re both improving under Nuno and Sean Dyche.
“You just see them easing up the table a few places, which makes it more difficult for Leeds.
“It’s an unforgiving league, and it was always going to be tough for them given the squad that they’ve got, and that’s how it’s turning out.
“I think players like Dan James, Gnonto, coming back into it, need to cause problems.
“Who’s going to put the ball in the net? They haven’t got too many candidates, but they’ve just got to give it a go.”
