Anton Stach outlines Leeds United 'chaos' plan with Whites belief and must ahead of Sunderland trip
Anton Stach says Leeds United have a “chaos” plan.
Whites star Anton Stach has outlined a Leeds United “chaos” plan with a team belief and must ahead of Sunday’s return to Premier League action at Sunderland.
Leeds are heading for Sunday afternoon’s 2pm kick-off at the Stadium of Light with a spring in their step upon last weekend’s 4-1 win at home to Crystal Palace making it eight points from the club’s last four games.
Palace lined up for last weekend’s final game before Christmas knowing a win would take them level on points with Chelsea but were bombarded by Daniel Farke’s side who scored all four goals from set pieces including two from Ethan Ampadu long throws.
Palace were unable to deal with them - much to the delight of Stach who says his men have a specific plan to cause “chaos” with Ampadu’s deliveries and the size of Whites men meeting them in the box including in-form striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Calvert-Lewin’s haul of six goals from United’s last five games have booted the team six points clear of the dropzone and Stach says his men fully believe more points can now be forthcoming but need to be.
“Big strength. We try to create chaos”
To that, Ampadu’s secret weapon “chaotic” long throws are clearly key.
"We know he can throw really long,” said United’s German midfielder.
“He needs to recover after these throw-ins. Big strength, when he throws it so long, we try to create chaos with all the big, strong guys.
“With the ball dropping down in front of goal, the sign of a really good striker, Dom was there. Out of this, we scored some goals. It's really important.
“We need to keep the flow. Now we have some days, Christmas. We try to go on, keep going, we need points every game. We keep trying, game to game."
Stach added: “I don't know what it is but before this period we had some good games and we were a bit unlucky in some games.
“Now, maybe with the momentum, it's maybe a bit easier to play some passes, some luck in 50-50 situations. We need to keep going like this and we can take more points."
