Leeds United given fresh backing for Arsenal visit amid strong attack view
Leeds United face Premier League leaders Arsenal on Saturday afternoon in 3pm kick-off at Elland Road.
Leeds United have received fresh backing for Saturday’s huge visit of Premier League leaders and title favourites Arsenal to Elland Road.
The Whites and Gunners will meet for the second time this season in Saturday’s 3pm kick-off at LS11, five months on United’s 5-0 defeat at the Emirates in August’s second game of the season.
Now after 23 games of the Premier League campaign, Mikel Arteta’s side are odds-on favourites to win the league in sitting four points clear at the top of the table, despite Sunday’s rare home 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates.
Arsenal are 15 places and 24 points ahead of Leeds and the Gunners have naturally been made odds-on favourites for Saturday’s clash in West Yorkshire but with Leeds far from written off by the bookmakers.
Strong backing given magnitude of test
In what could be viewed as strong fresh backing from them given the magnitude of the test, Leeds are no bigger than 23-4 but as short as 5-1 with most firms to beat the Gunners who can be backed at 8-15 with plenty of firms. Arsenal are as short as 11-20 in places whilst the draw is a best priced 10-3.
The Gunners, though, have the first eight players in the anytime goalscorer market which is just about headed by Viktor Gyokeres at 9-5, just ahead of the fit again Kai Havertz at 15-8.
Gabriel Jesus is next at 2s, followed by Leandro Trossard at 12-5, Bukayo Saka at 13-5 and then Gabriel Martinelli at 11-4.
Eberechi Eze (14-5) and Noni Madueke (21-10) are next before United’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 3s - the same price as Arsenal’s Mikel Merino.
