"Didn't look great" - Star man from upcoming Leeds United opponents suffers injury blow and faces scan
A star man from forthcoming Leeds United opponents has suffered an injury blow.
Leeds United’s forthcoming Premier League opponents Brighton have been dealt an injury blow which has left a star man facing a scan.
Leeds face highflying Brighton in their final home game of the season at Elland Road next Sunday, ahead of which the Seagulls have now won seven of their last ten games.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side readily brushed aside already relegated visitors Wolves 3-0 on Saturday afternoon but the club’s Japan international winger Kaoru Mitoma was forced off injured in the 58th minute.
Speaking post match, boss Hurzeler said Mitoma appeared to have suffered a hamstring injury and that Brighton would now have to await the results of a scan.
“Of course, it didn’t look great”
Hurzeler also admitted the injury did not look great.
“We have to wait for the scan, and then we can clarify it,” said the Brighton boss, as quoted by the club’s official website.
“Of course, it didn't look great, but I'm a positive person and I stay positive regarding it. It looked like a hamstring injury, but let's wait if it's an injury or not.”
