Leeds United will resume their quest for Premier League survival with Friday night’s huge visit of already relegated Burnley - for which eight players are now out or doubtful but two others back.
Second-bottom Burnley were officially consigned to relegation through Wednesday night’s narrow defeat at home to title chasing Manchester City for whom Erling Haaland bagged the only goal of the game.
Scott Parker’s battling Clarets side will now provide the next obstacle in United’s fight to avoid the drop in a Friday night clash under the Elland Road lights, five days on from Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
A win against Burnley would almost certainly secure Premier League survival for Farke’s Whites who sit in 15th place and six points clear of the drop zone with four games left.
The fixture is undoubtedly United’s biggest game of the season so far but both Leeds and Burnley have key men either out or doubtful although two others are now back.
Here, we run through the early injury news from both camps which totals four out and four more doubtful but two back.

1. OUT: Josh Cullen
The combative Burney captain suffered an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury in December and required surgery. This week, Cullen said he's through the worst of the rehab but the midfielder is still expected to be out for several months more. | Getty Images

2. OUT: Jordan Beyer
Another long term injury, with the 25-year-old suffering a meniscus knee injury against Luton in October 2023 before a hamstring injury last summer. No sign of a return to play any time soon. | Getty Images

3. OUT: Connor Roberts
The former Leeds loanee has been out with an Achilles injury and is yet to feature this season. Parker said last month that Roberts was only in the early stages of his recovery and last week confirmed his defender remained unavailable. | Getty Images

4. DOUBT: Zeki Amdouni
Like Roberts, Amdouni is yet to feature this season while working his way back from an ACL injury suffered in the summer. The 25-year-old has been back in training, however, and Parker recently hinted he could be involved before the season is over. | Getty Images

5. DOUBT: Hannibal Mejbri
The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in last month's 3-1 defeat at Fulham and has not featured since. Parker admitted last week that while a return vs Manchester City was unlikely, Hannibal could be involved at Elland Road. He said: "Maybe heading towards Leeds is probably a better option or certainly one which we hope to have him back." | Cody Froggatt/PA Wire

6. DOUBT: Axel Tuanzebe
The defender has been out since February with an Achilles injury, albeit he featured for DR Congo during the March international break. It's unclear exactly what the issue is or how severe. | AFP via Getty Images
