Final injury and team news is in for Leeds United’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea - for which five players are definitely out and eight more doubtful but with two others now back.
Sunday afternoon’s Wembley showdown comes at the end of a very busy week for both sides, Chelsea having sacked head coach Liam Rosenior on the back of Tuesday night’s 3-0 defeat at Brighton for which key men were missing.
Leeds also had big players out as they headed to Bournemouth the following night for a game in which Sean Longstaff came off the bench to thump home a 95th-minute equaliser that sealed a 2-2 draw.
Leeds, though, suffered a fresh injury blow both in the game itself and ahead of the match, Farke providing details of the injuries at Thursday afternoon’s pre-match press conference.
The Whites boss was essentially waiting on three players but with one other definitely ruled out. Chelsea, meanwhile, have a particularly deep squad but also a deep injury list.
Interim head coach Callum McFarlane held his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, at which updates on two star men were high on the agenda.
Both teams are now in the final throes of their preparation for Sunday’s semi-final and with the final pieces of injury news now in, here we run through the final team news from both camps combined which totals five out and eight more doubtful but two others back.
