Young Leeds United forward makes loan move after 21s impact with Boxing Day debut chance
A young Leeds United forward has sealed a loan move.
Young Leeds United attacker Connor Douglas has sealed a loan move with a quick debut chance for his new side.
Douglas, who can also play in midfield and at full-back, has made 14 appearances for Scott Gardner’s Under-21s so far this season with outings in Premier League 2, the EFL Trophy, National League Cup and the Premier League International Cup.
Boxing Day debut chance
The 20-year-old has chipped in with two goals and an assist in PL2 and has now joined Enterprise National League North side Buxton on a youth loan until the end of the season.
John McGrath’s Buxton side sit 16th in the National League North standings and Douglas is now available to make his debut in Boxing Day’s clash at Macclesfield - managed by Wayne Rooney’s younger brother John Rooney.
A Leeds United spokesperson said: “Everyone at Leeds United would like to wish Connor well during his time away from the club and we look forward to monitoring his progress.”
