Leeds United given big fresh backing for Crystal Palace trip

Leeds United resume their bid for Premier League survival with Sunday's trip to Crystal Palace.

Leeds United have been given fresh big backing for Sunday's resumption of the club's quest for Premier League survival at Crystal Palace.

Daniel Farke's Whites now have a free midweek following Sunday's 3-0 win at home to Norwich City in the FA Cup fifth round, after which attention turns back to the club's bid to avoid the drop.

Leeds would have moved nine points clear of the dropzone with a victory from last Tuesday night's hosting of Sunderland but a 1-0 defeat and subsequent 1-0 win for West Ham at Fulham has left the Whites just three points clear of the bottom three.

Farke's Whites now face a trip to a reasonably in-form Palace side who moved up to 13th place in the Premier League table and seven points clear of Leeds with last Thursday night's 3-1 win at troubled Tottenham.

Three wins from last four

Palace - still in the Europa Conference League - have won three of their last four in league and cup yet the bookmakers are giving decent fresh backing to Leeds who are only rated 2-1 shots to leave Selhurst Park with all three points.

Oliver Glasner's Eagles are favourites with every single bookmaker but there's not a huge amount in it, Palace available at 11-8 and Leeds no bigger than 11-5. The draw meanwhile is on offer at 12-5.

Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta is expected to be back from injury this week and heads the anytime scorer market at 17-10 but only just ahead of United's Dominic Calvert-Lewin at 15-8.

Palace's Jorgen Strand Larsen who Leeds tried to sign in January is next at 19-10.

But in a tight market, a 1-1 draw is clear favourite in the correct score market at 6-1, followed by a 1-0 win for Palace at 15-2 and then a 1-0 triumph for Leeds at 17-2.
