"Massive" - Leeds United star makes 'formidable' Whites prediction with team gift hope and message for fans
A Leeds United star has delivered a ‘formidable’ Whites message.
Whites captain Ethan Ampadu has made a “formidable” Leeds United prediction with a message for the club’s fans and team gift hope.
Fourth-bottom Leeds take on another of the Premier League’s highflyers in seventh-placed Crystal Palace on Saturday evening in an 8pm kick-off under the Elland Road lights.
A Palace victory would take the Eagles level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea but Ampadu is expecting another “formidable” atmosphere inside United’s famous home which the skipper says fills his men with belief of beating anyone in the division.
Five days before Christmas, the captain hopes his team can respond by providing the perfect Festive gift of three points against Oliver Glasner’s side.
“I can’t tell you how much of an impact it has”
Writing in his captain’s column of Saturday’s match night programme, Ampadu said: “Tonight, I’m sure the atmosphere will again be formidable, just as it was in the game against Liverpool last time out.
“I can’t tell you how much of an impact it has on us on the pitch. It really is massive.
“We’re coming up against a top team in Crystal Palace, but with you behind us, it really gives us the belief that we can beat anybody here and hopefully we can get you the perfect Christmas present of three points this evening.”
