Change sees Leeds United man given big chance with international start in second game of extended break
A big chance for a Leeds United attacker
A change has seen a Leeds United attacker handed a big chance alongside his Whites teammate with a start in the second game of the international break.
Dan James is yet to start a Premier League game so far this season, the winger’s starts limited to United’s two outings in the Carabao Cup in which the Whites are now out after the 6-3 defeat at Chelsea.
Wales regular James was also named on the bench for his country’s first of four games during the current extended September and October international break, the winger brought on with 27 minutes left of Thursday night’s 1-0 defeat against Nations League hosts Portugal.
James, though, has now been given a bug fresh chance to impress three days later in Sunday afternoon’s Nations League clash in Denmark, the Whites winger and also Leeds captain Ethan Ampadu both named in Craig Bellamy’s starting line up.
Young Leeds defender Jayden Lienou is also part of the current squad but the full-back did not make the bench for Thursday’s clash in Portugal and is again not involved.
Joe Rodon and Harry Wilson remain out injured.
The clash against Denmark in Copenhagen is a 5pm kick-off and being shown on BBC One.
