Jayden Bogle, Anton Stach, Ilia Gruev updates: Daniel Farke's Leeds United FA Cup press conference v Chelsea

Daniel Farke’s Leeds United team news for Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

The countdown is now well and truly on to Leeds United’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea - ahead of which boss Daniel Farke will provide his pre-match team news today.

Leeds took another point in their quest for Premier League survival through a 2-2 draw from Wednesday night’s long midweek away day at Bournemouth thanks to a 97th-minute equaliser from Sean Longstaff.

Farke had said beforehand that absolutely every focus was on the midweek match at Bournemouth and not Sunday’s semi-final, the Whites boss naming a strong unchanged team against the Cherries as Dan James also returned from injury to make the bench.

But full focus can now finally shift to Sunday’s massive Wembley semi-final, ahead of which Farke is holding his pre-match press conference this afternoon at 4pm from Thorp Arch as he hotfoots it back from Bournemouth.

Updates on three players in particular in Jayden Bogle, Ilia Gruev and Anton Stach will be high up on the agenda.

Bulgaria international midfielder Gruev was missing from the matchday squad at Bournemouth, the 25-year-old having suffered a meniscus knee injury in training which needed further assessment.

Bogle, meanwhile, suffered a blow to his foot in the first half at Bournemouth and was brought off at the break after a below par display, Farke saying his withdrawal was due to a combination of the wing-back's struggles and the 'hit' on his foot.

Stach, meanwhile, has been out since suffering an ankle injury with damage to his ligaments in the FA Cup quarter-final win at West Ham but Farke said earlier this week that it would be days and not weeks before the midfielder was back.

They are three pieces of huge team news and we will bring you all of the updates here plus any other injuries and Farke’s thoughts on the FA Cup semi-final itself, Chelsea and the club’s sacking of Liam Rosenior from 4pm.
