Leeds United vs Norwich City: Daniel Farke FA Cup press conference live, injuries and Noah Okafor latest

The Leeds United team news and injury latest from boss Daniel Farke for Sunday’s FA Cup clash against Norwich City.

Leeds United will end a busy week with Sunday’s FA Cup fifth round hosting of Norwich City - ahead of which boss Daniel Farke will provide the injury latest and team news today.

Sunday’s 4.30pm kick-off at Elland Road will end a busy week for Farke’s Whites following Saturday evening’s 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester City and Tuesday night’s loss by the same score to Sunderland.

A very different test now awaits in the last 16 of the FA Cup against a side sat 17th in the Championship table, 11 points clear of the dropzone and 12 points off the play-off places.

Norwich, though, under boss Philippe Clement are much higher in the Championship form table having won ten of their last 15 league games.

Ahead of the game, Farke is holding his pre-match press conference at 2.15pm from Thorp Arch today, at which the Whites boss will provide the latest on the team news and injuries front including an update on Noah Okafor.

Winger Okafor was thought to be facing two to four weeks out with the hamstring injury suffered in the fourth round FA Cup clash at Birmingham City and has since missed United's last three games.

Farke, though, will himself serve a one-match touchline ban for the contest following his red card after the full-time whistle of last weekend’s defeat at home to City.

A statement from the FA released on Friday morning read: “Daniel Farke has been sanctioned for misconduct following the Premier League fixture between Leeds United FC and Manchester City FC on Saturday 28 February.

“It was alleged that the manager entered the field of play at full time to confront the match official/s, contrary to Law 12 of the Laws of the Game.

“Daniel Farke subsequently admitted the charge against him and accepted the standard one-match suspension and £8,000 fine.”
