"Very good" - Premier League boss salutes big Leeds United change with Whites man praise and admission
A Premier League boss has saluted a Leeds United change in the club’s quest for Premier League survival.
Everton boss David Moyes has applauded Daniel Farke’s big change in Leeds United’s quest for Premier League survival with praise for the German manager.
Leeds went into November’s clash at Manchester City having lost five of their last six games and with boss Farke facing questions about his future in the newly-promoted club’s quest for top-flight survival.
Farke’s side then found themselves 2-0 down at the interval at the Etihad but Farke made a big change during the break, sending Leeds back out in a new 5-3-2 system which has triggered a brilliant change in fortunes.
“I think he’s done that”
Leeds ultimately still suffered a defeat at City but only after Phil Foden’s stoppage-time winner sealed a last-gasp 3-2 success for Pep Guardiola’s side and the Whites have lost just one of the next ten games that followed.
A haul of 14 points from a last possible 30 has Farke’s side eight points clear of the dropzone heading for Monday night’s clash at Everton whose manager Moyes has saluted the big changes made by Farke.
Asked how much credit Farke deserved for changing things, Moyes declared: “Very good, very good because in management you have to find ways of winning and sometimes when you are not doing so well you need to find other ways of getting results. I think he's done that.
"He's got some good players there at Leeds United, they certainly have and his change of style and system has certainly helped them."
