Leeds United dealt double injury blow in Leicester City clash but Patrick Bamford provides reassuring update

LEEDS United were dealt two new injury blows in Sunday's Premier League clash at Leicester City as summer signings Raphinha and Rodrigo both had to be taken off.

Record signing Rodrigo appeared to injure his groin when stretching for the ball in the 18th minute and received treatment after going to ground.

After leaving the field, Rodrigo attempted to play on but quickly pulled up once more and was then taken off for Mateusz Klich in the 20th minute.

Leeds still raced to a highly impressive 3-1 victory with Brazilian winger Raphina particularly impressive but Raphinha then pulled up injured with ten minutes left.

The winger received brief treatment on what looked like a thigh problem before coming off for Helder Costa.

It means that all four of United's main summer signings are now injured with Diego Llorente out with a muscular problem and fellow centre-back Robin Koch still recovering from knee surgery.

Whites no 9 Patrick Bamford was also limping at the end of the game but told Sky Sports he was only suffering from a dead leg.
