Leeds United kick-off their 2025/26 FA Cup campaign at the home of an old Championship foe this weekend. Daniel Farke’s side have been drawn against Derby County and will hope to avoid a repeat of their embarrassing Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday back in August.
FA Cup action should provide some welcome respite from a physically-demanding Premier League schedule and Farke could even welcome back an injured player or two for the Pride Park trip. Joe Rodon returned from an ankle injury to start Wednesday’s 4-3 defeat at Newcastle and others could follow.
Hosts Derby also have a few fitness issues to contend with while manager John Eustace will hope to get another good result over Farke. Below, the YEP has rounded up all the latest injury and team news ahead of Sunday’s cup clash.

1. OUT: David Ozoh
The midfielder continues to be unavailable for Eustace due to a thigh injury. He hasn't featured since a 2-1 win at Blackburn Rovers in November. | Getty Images

2. OUT: Carlton Morris
An ankle injury suffered in November has kept the striker out ever since. He was given a 10-12-week timeframe before any potential return, which hasn't been reached as of yet. | Getty Images

3. DOUBT: Max Johnston
Has been out with a hamstring since the beginning of November but returned to training recently. Yet to make his return to a matchday squad but certainly getting closer. | Getty Images Photo: The right-back

4. OUT: Daniel James
The speedy winger remains sidelined after picking up a hamstring tendon injury against Manchester City. Surgery was avoided but still feels some way off a return to action in what has been a frustrating campaign. Photo: Jack Thomas

5. OUT: Daniel James
Farke briefly mentioned the winger on Thursday. He said: "With Daniel James there is no chance for him to be involved." Photo: Carl Recine

6. DOUBT: Sean Longstaff
Returned from a calf injury to make the bench for Leeds' 1-1 draw against Manchester United but Farke never intended to play him. Was back out of the squad against Newcastle in midweek but could return to action on Sunday, if he comes through the week okay. | Getty Images
