Leeds United have already welcomed two big signings through the door - with more expected to follow. Harry Wilson joined the Whites on a free transfer following his Fulham exit while centre-back Tarik Muharemovic arrived from Sassuolo in a £34million transfer, with both filling key squad gaps.
There is hope another key arrival will follow in the form of goalkeeper James Trafford, who all being well is on course to become Leeds’ club-record signing at £40million. It hasn’t all been plain sailing, however, with Southampton not budging on Shea Charles and free agent target Julian Brandt moving elsewhere.
The YEP understands Leeds have been evaluating other attacking options with one summer 2025 ‘stretch target’ potentially back in the picture. Take a look below to see how Leeds could line up if a couple more top transfer targets are landed.

7. CM: Ethan Ampadu
Leeds wrapped up arguably their most importance piece of business early with Ampadu signing a new four-year contract. Regularly bossed the midfield last season and just seems to keep improving. Been solid so far this pre-season. | Getty Images

8. CM: Anton Stach
The German will be given more license to push forward and affect play in the final third, having excelled at that side of the game last season. His ability to cover huge amounts of ground will be crucial in a midfield two. | Getty Images

9. LWB: Gabriel Gudmundsson
Settled into the Premier League with ease following a £10m move from Lille and the hope is he will only improve. Natural left-sided cover is needed this summer, though, with Justin not able to provide as much attacking threat. | Getty Images

10. RW: Harry Wilson
Leeds tied the Welshman down to a four-year contract last month to finally fill that right-wing/No.10 gap. Will have scope to drift centrally as former Derby County teammate Bogle overlaps. Been mostly quiet in pre-season, albeit with moments of nice quality particularly against Wrexham. Still settling in. | Getty Images

11. LW: Igor Paixão
With Julian Brandt opting to join Ajax, Leeds are looking elsewhere and the YEP understands Igor Paixão is among those liked, as he was last summer. They waited a year for Wilson and could do so again with the Brazilian, who impressed in his first season at Marseille. | AFP via Getty Images

12. ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
A 14-goal Premier League season was some going for a free agent and only tells half the story of what Calvert-Lewin offered Leeds. Serious competition for the 29-year-old is needed but as things stand, he starts - and will take some displacing. | George Wood/Getty Images
