Leeds United's 53,000-capacity expanded Elland Road compared to Old Trafford, Anfield & other Premier League stadiums

A look at how Leeds United's Elland Road will compare to other Premier League stadiums once redevelopment is complete.

Leeds United will have one of the Premier League’s elite stadiums at their disposal once redevelopment plans are complete. Work is already underway to increase the capacity up towards 53,000 via expansion of the North and West Stands, with the latter already being worked on this summer.

While a 53,000-capacity Elland Road is still a distance away - work is currently planned to be complete in late-2030 - the long-term project should give fans a stadium worthy of their support. It will also lift Leeds into the top-tier of Premier League clubs for matchday revenue which is becoming increasingly important amid new Squad Cost Ratio rules.

While Elland Road’s current 37,000-or-so capacity is around mid-table compared to Premier League rivals, at 53,000 it will be right among the biggest. Take a look below to see exactly where the expanded stadium would rank.
