Leeds United: When is the FA Cup fifth round draw? How to watch, ball numbers, game dates and TV coverage

Draw details for the FA Cup fifth round - with Leeds United in it, just.

Leeds United are into the hat for the FA Cup fifth round draw - but when is it and how can you watch it?

Having progressed past Derby County in round three, Daniel Farke’s Whites faced a trip to Championship outfit Birmingham City on Sunday for a place in the fifth round which is the competition’s last 16.

In truth, a dominant Birmingham side could have been well ahead by the half-time interval yet instead the Whites and Blues entered the break goalless and Lukas Nmecha then fired Leeds ahead with 49 minutes on the clock.

Despite a host of further Birmingham chances, Nmecha’s strike looked set to seal a 1-0 victory only for Patrick Roberts to net an 89th-minute equaliser which took the game to extra time and then penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Leeds were then perfect in their penalty taking, Joel Piroe, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Brenden Aaronson and Sean Longstaff all netting from 12 yards to seal a 4-2 success on spot kicks after Birmingham missed two of theirs, one of which was brilliantly saved by Lucas Perri.

It was anything but comfortable but Leeds are ultimately now through to the last 16 of the competition, the weekend’s final game taking place on Monday night when non-league Macclesfield host Brentford in a 7.30pm kick-off.

The draw for the fifth round is also taking place on Monday evening ahead of the contest from Macclesfield and being shown on TNT Sports.

Draw being made by Joe Cole and Karen Carney

The draw will be available for fans to watch on TNT Sports 1, discovery+ and on the TNT Sports YouTube channel during the tie’s pre-match coverage from approximately 6.35pm.

Coverage is being presented by Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist, the draw being made by Joe Cole and Karen Carney.

Leeds will be ball no 16 and ties in the fifth round will be played around the weekend of Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8.

Beaten by Macclesfield, holders Crystal Palace are out but Leeds are among 10 Premier League teams safely through along with Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Fulham, West Ham and Wolves.

Championship sides Southampton, Norwich City and Wrexham are also through along with League One outfit Mansfield Town.

Another League One side in Port Vale also remain in the competition, Vale due to host Championship outfit Bristol City this weekend but the game postponed due to the pitch being unplayable owing to the recent weather.

The fourth round tie has now been moved to the next available date of Tuesday, March 3 with a 7.45pm kick-off - leaving a rather long wait for whoever is drawn against them to discover their opponents.
